This Privacy Notice explains how Binago AB collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website and the Squizle app (together, the “Services”), and the choices you have.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Notice, please do not use the Services.
1) Information we collect
A. Information you provide
When you create an account or use profile/social features, we collect information you provide, including:
- Account details: email address
- Profile details: first name, last name, profile name, and profile image (if you choose to add one)
- Following / social connections: your in-app following list (accounts you follow) and related connection data (for example, follow and unfollow actions)
- Communications: information you include when you contact us (support requests, feedback)
B. Information we collect automatically
When you use the Services, we may automatically collect:
- Device and technical information: IP address, device type/model, operating system version, app version, language settings, and similar technical identifiers
- Usage information: how you use the Services (e.g., pages/screens viewed, features used, clicks/taps, session information, performance data)
- Cookies and similar technologies (website): used for essential site functionality and analytics (see “Cookies & Analytics”)
- Advertising data (App, if ads are enabled): information such as the device advertising identifier (where available), IP address, and information about ad impressions and interactions, used to deliver and measure ads and to help prevent fraud
C. Location information (App)
If you enable location services for the App, we may collect your device’s location only while you are using the App in order to show relevant content.
- We do not collect location in the background.
- We do not store your location. Location is used in real time and is not saved to your account.
You can enable or disable location at any time in your device settings. If you do not grant permission, the App will not collect your device location (and some location-based features may not work).
D. Payments and subscriptions (Apple / Google In-App Purchases)
Payments and subscriptions for Squizle are processed through:
- Apple (App Store In-App Purchases) and/or
- Google (Google Play Billing / In-App Purchases)
We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple/Google handle payment processing. We may receive limited information needed to provide your purchase/subscription (such as purchase status, subscription tier, renewal status, and transaction identifiers/receipt information).
2) How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide the Services: create and manage accounts, authenticate users, display your profile, and enable social features (following)
- Personalize your experience: including showing relevant content (including content based on location, if enabled)
- Operate and improve the Services: maintain and improve website/app functionality and user experience
- Advertising (if enabled): display ads in the App (including potentially personalized ads), measure performance, limit frequency, and detect fraud
- Communicate with you: respond to support requests and send service-related messages (important changes, security notices)
- Security and fraud prevention
- Compliance: meet legal obligations and enforce our terms
3) Cookies & Analytics (Website only)
We use Google Analytics on squizle.se (website only) to understand how visitors use the website and to improve it. Google Analytics may collect information such as device/browser data, IP address, and website usage activity via cookies and similar technologies.
Squizle app: We do not use Google Analytics in the mobile app.
Your choices (website): you can manage cookies via your browser settings (and any cookie controls we provide, if implemented). You can also use Google’s opt-out tools (see links below).
Advertising (App, if enabled)
We may display ads in the App. Ads may be contextual or personalized depending on your settings and applicable law. If ads are enabled, we and/or our advertising partners may process information such as the device advertising identifier (where available), IP address, and information about ad impressions and interactions to deliver ads, measure performance, limit frequency, and detect fraud.
Your choices:
- iOS: If the App asks to track your activity, you can allow or deny in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. You can also turn off Apple personalized ads in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
- Android: You can reset or delete your advertising ID and adjust ad personalization in Settings → Privacy → Ads (wording may vary by device).
4) Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK and similar laws)
Where applicable, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the Services you request (account, features, subscriptions)
- Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, and improve the Services (e.g., website analytics, security), balanced against your rights
- Consent: where required (e.g., certain cookies, and location permissions)
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and lawful requests
5) How we share information
A. With other users (social features)
- Your following list is private by default and is visible only to you.
- If you use a feature that allows you to share your following list, then the information you choose to share will be shared according to that feature and your actions.
Your profile name and profile image may be visible to other users only when needed for social interactions (for example, when you follow another user or interact with other users through app features).
B. Service providers
We may share information with vendors who help us operate the Services, such as:
- Email services: Microsoft (used to send and deliver emails such as verification, password reset, and service messages)
- Analytics providers (website): Google Analytics (Google)
- Advertising partners (App, if enabled): ad networks and measurement partners that help deliver and measure ads
We also use infrastructure providers to host and deliver the Services. Today, profile images are stored on Binago AB’s own servers. If we use additional storage or hosting providers in the future (for example, Amazon Web Services (AWS)), we will update this Privacy Notice accordingly.
C. Payments
Payment and subscription processing is handled by Apple and/or Google, and they may process information under their own privacy policies.
D. Legal and safety
We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with law or protect rights, property, and safety, or to prevent fraud/security issues.
E. Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
6) International data transfers
We operate globally, and our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers (such as contractual protections).
7) Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including while your account is active and as needed for security, dispute resolution, and compliance. You can request deletion (see “Your rights and choices”).
In practice:
- Account and profile data (email, name, profile name, profile image): kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize this data, unless we need to keep certain information longer for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
- Profile images: removed from active systems when you delete your account or remove the image. Copies may remain in backups for a limited period.
- Following list: updated as you follow/unfollow and removed with account deletion.
- Website analytics: retained according to our Google Analytics configuration.
- Security and technical logs: retained for a limited period for security, troubleshooting, and fraud prevention.
8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9) Children’s privacy
The Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at the email address listed in the “Contact us” section.
10) Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and data portability (where applicable).

Account deletion
You can request deletion by:
- using any in-app deletion option we provide (if available), or
- emailing us from the email address associated with your account (see “Contact us” for our email address).
Deleting the App from your device does not automatically delete your account or data stored by Binago AB.
Complaints (EEA/UK)
If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Sweden, the supervisory authority is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY):https://www.imy.se/en/
11) Changes to this Privacy Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the App or on the website.
